The Adwenpa Herbal Clinic has opened a new branch at Fumesua, near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, to bring herbal treatment to the doorsteps of the people in the town.

The Clinic would also open a new branch either at Madina or Kasoa in the Greater Accra Region as part of its expansion programme.

Dr Yaw Opoku, the Chief Executive Officer of the Clinic, disclosed this when the Clinic held a free medical screening exercise at Akweteyman in Accra.

Some of the diseases screened were typhoid, malaria, hepatitis ‘B’, ear, nose and throat (ENT) infections as well as jaundice.

Dr Opoku said the free medical screening formed part of the clinic’s corporate social responsibilities.

He said it had instituted ‘Free Medical Screening Day,’ which was held on every public holiday, to promote healthy living among the populace.

The clinic treated barrenness, stomach ulcers, broken bones, menstrual disorders, rheumatism and malaria among others using herbs, he said.

Dr Opoku said the clinic, which was set up some few years ago, would continue to offer quality herbal treatment to the people at their doorsteps.

He urged Ghanaians to go for frequent medical check-ups to know their health status and that they should not wait till they were ill before they rush to the hospital.
