Waasland Beveren winger Nana Opoku Ampomah says he is disappointed to have not ended his Black Stars debut game against Egypt, after picking an injury in the first half.

Ampomah had to be substituted in the 43rd minute after running into Egypt defender El Said in the FIFA World Cup qualifier against the north Africans last Sunday.

The 21 year old, who was having a good game until the injury expressed joy at his national team appearance but was sad with the way it ended.

"I was very happy to play for Ghana because it's the dream of every Ghanaian footballer to play for the Black Stars, so I was delighted to have realized that dream though I couldn't complete the game," Ampomah told Happy FM.

"I felt very bad that my joy in the game didn't last. Injury is not good for any footballer and I was very disappointed that I had to go through that on a big day like my debut."

"I will be very grateful if get another chance to exhibit my abilities for Ghanaians and I know only hard work will make it happen again."

The Black Stars were pegged to a 1-1 draw in Ghana by the Pharoahs in Cape Coast.
