The Black Stars of Ghana may not have qualified to the 2018 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Russia, but even that could not stop the senior national football team from wrapping up their last training session of this failed campaign in some style.

After training at the Cape Coast stadium on Saturday, players of the Black Stars gathered to deliver their usual jama session much to the admiration of the scores of supporters who had thronged the stadium to catch a glimpse of the team.

Led by the chief drummer of the national teams, Langerbel, both the playing body and the technical team sang and cheered to demonstrate that there is life after a major disappointment such as missing the FIFA World Cup.

Conspicuously absent from the ‘jama’ session was captain Asamoah Gyan who is one of the leaders when it comes to raising morale in the team camp with his songs.

Gyan has been ruled out of the game after sustaining an injury in training earlier in the week.

Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu is also absent for the game because of injury.
