Killing Ghanaian businesses to establish foreign ones is an exercise in mediocrity

Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies

The popular Ghanaian saying that "adzi wo fie a oye" to wit it is good when it is home, comes to mind when I try to ponder over this invisible tag of war between Multimedia owner Mr. Kwesi Twum and waste management entrepreneur Mr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong.

Most people in Ghana have believed this saying to be political because Prof. John Evans Atta Mills of blessed memory is quoted to have used it in a statement to tell his kinsmen (Fantes) that if they voted for him their own it was better than any other and thus was also repeated by his successor Mr. John Dramani Mahama when he was quoted in 2012 of saying Northerners should massively vote for him to also register a Northern President after Dr. Hilla Limanm.

Many ate those who wonder why Manasseh Azure has always been on the heels of the Jospong Group of Companies and Zoomlion Ghana Limited especially. But recent media reportage reveals a sinister antics developed and executed by Mr. Kwasi Twum and his extremists, Manasseh and Fadi Dabbousi.

I read with much interest when E.J.K. B. Agyeman sought to reveal some fascinating facts or whatever they may be that points to the fact that it hasn't been without a cause that Manasseh and his boss' friend Fadi have vowed to sacrifice the last drop of their blood to ensure that Jospong goes down.

My own checks also points to that sinister because of the recent credit the multimedia family arrogated to themselves that government had cancelled a one million bin contract as a result of their investigation when in actual fact the contract died a natural death.

That contract I reckon was never executed and no payments were made to that effect and yet multimedia through Manasseh sang this song a million times that monies were paid.

JGC communications Head Mrs. Sohpia Lissah has stated variously that the contract elapsed, died a natural death and was jointly decided by both parties not to be executed as government lacked funds for the project and then nonperformance on the part of the contractor.

One wants to wonder why if no invisible hands from the side of multimedia through its boss Mr. Twum who is a known NPP member the Local Government Ministry tried to meddle in a manner that suggested multimedia's investigation triggered any contract cancellation?

Hon. O. B. Amoah Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development tried had to associate the contract expiration to a Joy FM’s investigation on Radio Gold but the Saturday morning host on Alhaji and Alhaji made it clear that a contract that has expired cannot be cancelled.

Be it as it may, Mr. Twum may be fighting through the ministry to cancel Jospong's contracts as it was for him to possibly benefit with his foreign partners or not at all.

The writer’s information however has raised the question of why the persistent hatred or negative reportage or the blatant lies such as describing an expired contract as cancelled without a prove of documentation by Manasseh and Multimedia.

It is not painful that people in the name of politics destroy their own? Mr. Kwasi Twum has excel in the media space so has Mt. Agyepong in the waste management and sanitation industry a collaboration of the two could further boost Ghana's economy in both the sanitation and media spheres.

The multimillion dollar question I seek to ask here is why does Mr. Twum want or Manasseh want Jospong down? Why does he set his boys to go round lying about the man for no apparent reason?

Nana Addo, many are the people who think you came to collapse Ghana for your family benefit.

Jospong has done so too well in the area that J. A. Kufuor established him for the other two N.D.C presidents to lift him further up, if at least you can't lift him up, please don't listen to KwasiTwum and the likes and destroy this company for many a Ghanaian will go home hungry as done in the banking sector.

It is not him Kwasi Twum, Manasseh, Fadi or whoever they are using at the ministry and the media to destroy the reputation of the Jospong man that make decisions here in Ghana.

It is us the totality of Ghanaians who make the decisions. When we go to the polls in 2020, let them count their votes and let Jospong count his votes. A word to the wise is enough than a book.

Check back the whole of Ghana apart from the multimedia houses, which media house has also seen Jospong to be corrupt? Corruption is not about tagging people, it is about the action and the reality.

If the government and for that matter the President kowtows to the pressure of multimedia and Manasseh it will be nothing than killing Ghanaian companies for foreign ones to excel.

In my candid opinion, killing your own monopolies and initiatives for foreign ones to flourish in this 21st century is an exercise in mediocrity.

If we kill Zoomlion/Jospong, which other Ghanaian conglomerate is left for us to show? A show of no conscience to be precise.
