Generally, Ghanaians are hypocrites that is why Ghana is backward in the midst of plenty. Look at how nursing mothers have been detained with their babies in connection with this unfortunate murder and it appears human rights lawyers in Ghana have all gone to sleep.I am not the least surprised because if the Minister of Children and Gender Affairs has gone to weep profusely at the funeral of Late Maj Mahama because the deceased is a relative, do you think she will see the need to protect these kids who are being punished for crimes they have not committed.

My prophesy is coming through. I said that many Ghanaians feel sad and angered by the the death of Major Mahama but attention seekers like Kwaku Bonsam with his fake crying, the utterances of the family of the deceased and some politicians will make Ghanaians fed up and not show that much empathy towards the death of the officer. This is beginning to happen.
Akuffo Addo did well to ask for a state burial for him and the establishment of seed fund for the upkeep of his family. Now Haruna is asking for some more. In as much as I detest the way the guy was murdered, I wish these questions can be answered by Ghanaians, especially those asking for more:
1. Is Major Mahama the only person mistaken and lynched in Ghana?
2. Is he the only officer to die in the line of duty?
3 What has been done for others who were also mistaken for armed robbers and lynched.
4. Are there not some teachers, nurses and Medical Doctors who died in the line of duty and were not even recognized?
5 How many innocent civilians have been brutalized and murdered by Irate soldiers and police and the case did not see the light of the day?
6.Should the murderers be shot dead and the village be wiped out because of the action of a few stupid mob?
7. What about the people from the village who are innocent, did not even know what had happened and when it happened but soldiers were there to torture them, including women, the elderly, sick and children?
Sorry for this death but Enough is enough. He is not the only Ghanaian to be murdered. He was not even on duty but jogging alone which is not acceptable from a military officer as Boakye Gyan said.
Those expecting to score political points from his death should desist from that because it negatively affects the family.
Haruna can build military barracks on the Alavanyo-Nkonya land and name it after the major.
May his soul rest in peace.

Now ndc are coming out to show to us they need sympathy from Ghanaians because the guy was one of them and I think it is about time the government leaves this tragedy behind and move on because the country needs to be fixed not what ndc want to be popular there are so many instances of such deaths even way back during ndc time which they didn't do nothing,the police man killed in Bole was he not on national assignment? Another one was killed in BA all doing their duty for the country during ndc time what did they do to those men of our security force so why should this one be so special ? I understand why his father wanted to take out the politics from his sons death but ndc have made it politics so the sympathy will go away. There is nothing the President should do again after what he promised the family for nothing pleases an ndc not even when you severe your head and put it on a gold platter. There are poor kids and the elderly in society for the country to take care off there are the youth in the country the government need to give them hope let the dead bury their dead that's all. The government have done their best as expected and leave the rest to their ndc to continue and do their propaganda with it.
