What about the wanton dissipation of national purse? Which sensible president will supervise an award of another contract to Wayome who is struggling to pay his debt to the state? Is he the only contractor in Ghana? Mahama is the only president to have access to oil money in Ghana. If you think like this why won't he appoints Ablokwa to supervise you. Come again.

The truth is bitter and can only be swallowed by the reasonable men like Prof. For the records Nigeria voted for change but today doing business in Nigeria is like being in hell. Companies cannot afford Raw materials and prices are increased each day with impunity. I won't be surprised if someone takes arms on the president. Yes Ghana''s economy has challenges but if I consider that Akufo Addo wasted one year of the Presidents time in court and the challenge of Dumsor, the stabilisation of the Cedi, Mahatma has done extremely well and must be retained.

Thanks very much for your overall observation, I always say Ghana or Africans for that matter should practice something like Open-ended democracy to move the country and continent forward, By open-ended I mean, When a party is doing an excellent Job, why should you vote them out just for serving two terms...It should rather be based on performance, finding very good people to lead a country is extremely hard, So when you find someone like JM doing all that he has been able to achieve in less than 4yrs,as an individual like the CEO of a company, Why would you want him out?? As the saying goes; It takes 20yrs to build a good reputation and just 5 minutes to ruin It...Africa, especially Ghana should stop copying American system of democracy..Its not going to serve us well...Can you imagine where Mahama and the NDC will take Ghana in the next 4yrs??? Unbelievable progress....

When people present themselves as knowledgeable and yet ignominiously display crass ignorance on the subject matter, it makes one to wonder the basis of their claim.
In economics and even in practical terms, many civilized economies pursue Keynesian economics in an attempt to provide employment for their citizens. These civilized economies target infrastructure such as roads and highways, bridges, school construction, hospitals, etc., etc. Contracts of infrastructure projects are awarded to local contractors who hire local people to do the work. According to the Nobel economist Keynes, hiring local people to build infrastructure is a boost to aggregate demand in macro economics, which then boosts consumption and ultimately improve living standards in the country.
This is not just economic theory, it works all the time. For instance, as recent as the US financial crises and subsequent near collapse of the American economy, Obama administration applied the Keynesian approach to create jobs for the unemployed Americans through infrastructure financing and boosted the American economy and improved aggregate demand.
Why did Mahama's infrastructure financing not solve the youth and graduate unemployment situation in the country? I will tell you why, but first let me tell you what Dr. Nkrumah did with his infrastructure financing.
Determined to provide employment for Ghanaians and boost aggregate demand in the process, Nkrumah created Ghana Housing Authority and funded same to build Tema township. Ghana Housing Authority was the creation of an act of Parliament and was mandated to offer employment to any Ghanaian who wanted to work. Ghanaians built Tema township from top to bottom with Ghana's own resources and manpower.
What Mahama is doing is bringing foreigners to undertake Ghana's infrastructure so that he can inflate the prices and pocket the excesses. These foreign companies bring their people from their countries and pay them astronomical wages, so in essence all the infrastructure projects were of no benefit to the average Ghanaian.
How do you explain the fact that despite Mahama's so called infrastructure projects, unemployment is very high and aggregate demand is concentrated in the hands of a few NDC gurus. Mr. Professor please answer me.

Acheampong, Akuffo and the rest?..How much did the ugly bastard say the Jubilee house cost to build?,how much did he claim to have spent on the 50th Anniversary celebration? how much was those Metro mass buses? how much did he spend on building that Accra mall for his ugly daughter Nana Ama Addo Kuffuor, what about Kuffuor Hotel aka African Reagency?? who are the principal owners of those South African based companies? how rich is Ashanti hene and Kuffuors brother Dr Kwame Addo Kuffuor?? can someone account for their instant wealth??Listen, I can go on, and on, and on...So before an Npp retarded fool like you come onto this platform to spew your kindergarten economics, I will advice you to go back to high school and learn common sense and basic arithmetic....No one is interested in your Keynesian nonsense....JM and the Ndc are the party of Progress..JM TOASO

When a typical Ghanaian is challenged to exercise his brains, he has a natural tendency to resort to insults. When did two wrongs make right? I suspect you are one of the perfidious and corrupt NDC apparatchiks who want to keep the status quo of plunder and looting.
I do not belong to any political party because both NDC and NPP are corrupt to the core. You can check my postings.

Money had been injected into the economy which is finding expression in infrastructure and hence the base for a serious economic take off.We need the basis before the real money in people's pocket. In this Mahama is outstanding amongst the latest leaders of Ghana.
