Somehow, most of us are in the dark as to the basis of this case. That one Court ordered payment of a sum which another Court deemed illegal? The amount in question is extremely colossal but were there no Lawyers involved? Strange how in several divorce cases, the bar is being pushed as to how much money could be extorted from the rich partner.
If Mr Woyome had a valid contract from an NDC administration and then came an NPP administration which arbitrarily voided the contract, who will refund the man of all costs he has accumulated? If his bid for the judgement had failed, who will be sitting with the subsequent debts that he would have accumulated? The Judiciary begs to be respected but they are anything else to be respected. Win, Win and Lose System which can ruin a living being?
If Mr Woyome had simply written a letter with no Lawyers involved and no due process of Law, then the sum could be deemed illegal. If, however, a Court of whatever description sat and agreed the sum - then even though the amount may be extra-ordinarily huge, the term illegal is in bad taste. Every on-going legal wranglings are still costs being heaped and somehow one could see the sense in the A.G's position is waiting for a proposed settlement sum. Mr Woyome, did not rob Ghana of the money. It is a Court of Law that approved the money. It could be under NDC, NPP or CPP government. The money was taken from mother Ghana but private citizens are suffering this same fate across the world and nobody calls it ILLEGAL.
Was the so-called illegality executed in the Court Room? Was the amount too much or were the justices in the case corrupt? Was it right to abrogate his contract and was that process legal?
Bringing this issue up by Mr Amidu within a month from election is itself unbecoming of a so-called anti-corruption campaigner.
Ghana will be watching as the case unfolds.

Mr Wayome even stated that he paid the AG who used to be his lawyer $1mil. Even after the Supreme Court ordered Wayome to pay back the GHC51 mil the AG only seems to act when Mr Amidu has moved towards forceful retrieval of the monies.
