Spiritually , I strongly believe dipo rite has negative side where young women mostly are given as brides to marine spirits and other demonic agents unknowingly judging by how the rite is carried out. Our culture would have been the best the world over if we able to do away with the idolic or the idolic part is thrown over board. Do you know the number of marine agents, witches/wizards , demonic agents espcially Asmodee and other demons which are responsible for spiritual marriages, prostitution, etc in attendance anytime this rite is perfomed ? No one can boldly tell me that exposing our young ladies to the full glare of these demons is approved of by God Almighty. I aint speaking as a saint because on numerous occasions I fornicated with some of thes beautiful women from Krobo in Accra(Circle,55 at New Town) Kumasi(Adum), and Obuasi when I was leaving worldly but thanks God Almighty that I am now saved and doing the work of God Almighty as a pastor after deliverance by the Holy Spirit. The elders in charge of this dipo rite have genuine intention but the spiritual side is not deeply taken care of properly hence the women suffer the consequences. I fornicated with about twenty of these ladies(20) from Krobo alone though the number of ladies I slept with were more than that. Bless Be to Jesus Christ for allowing the Holy Spirit to arrest me about eight(8) years ago and helping me hate fornication completely. Krobo women need Jesus Christ the light and not dipo rite. Jesus is the way , the truth and the light.

Sorry to say this but the truth is if you don't have a spiritual insight to the things in this world that you see with your physical eyes you won't understand what Moses wrote. That is, you will speak like a flowing water from the tap; it comes just like that. There are lot of genuine men and women of God who testify to what Moses wrote through deliverance of such ones and how the women involved spoke through the demons which inhabited them that they contracted them through dipo rite and other traditional practices full of idolatry them making them promiscuous. Therefore, please don't just attack the writers and people who comment without having a clue about what they write. If you don't have a spiritual insight about what the writer said in his message, you would think that he was probably attacking and tarnishing the image of his own which was far from the truth. The writer didn't say Krobo men or people are not great or don't become stars rather he was trying to find out whether dipo rite was the cause of promiscuity among Krobo women or not and somebody decided to set their own questions and answers thereby beating about the bush completely. Dr Raphael Nyarkotey Obu is a Krobo himself and he has painstakingly taken so many years to delve deeply into this topic before coming out and not to tarnish the image of his own people as some of the comments here claim. Though there is promiscuity among every ethnic group in Ghana, Krobo women top the list in every ashawo centre one visits in Ghana here, especially where the women rent rooms and practice it. Hence, the fact that Kokoor was able to abstain from it till marriage doesn't mean it is not an established fact. Let's be ojective when trying to find the root cause to our issues instead of thinking otherwise and attacking personalities without any facts.
