Chanting and shouting criticisms at something they know so little about... their own living situation. Pity! Tragic

Mr. Daniels, Thanks for reading the article first of all and for the point made. The article obviously isn't per se, just about the communique but rather about the deliberations that have fed into the communique, of which the communique itself is a part. And since I always like to learn, what exactly is the format for writing a communique response? Just in case I do decide to officially respond to the communique, which by the way is not addressed to me and so I cannot respond to it. I suppose you intended to say "react to the communique." If you've seen some of my articles, am sure you will realise that where I have needed to make a response, I have done so point-by-point. I am not sure how you view criticism but the article simply didn't shout and not say what should have been done - it did both. Unless in your understanding, there is no differentiation between negative and positive criticism. Come again sir! Come again much harder!

Mr.Fekpe, I like your style of unearthing the forgotten aspects that could have been considered at the Forum, even if expressed poetically in the Ghanaian context. I would wish to include the aspect of energy availability to the masses which was quietly forgotten. Just imagine if every Kofi and Ama, who can afford it, were allowed the option to import solar, wind and other alternative energy systems - free of customs duties - to solve our ongoing Dumsor, Dumsor. I bet that many Ghanaians in the diaspora would rush to send down systems to incorporate in their homes, or help their relatives. The systems would mushroom like mobile phones, and Ghana would be rid of Dumsor, Dumsor. ECG would then be free to cater mainly for heavy industry and related users. Let's pressure government to remove all import duties on solar, wind and supplementary equipment!!!

Dear Concerned Ghanaian,
I like your innovative approach to the Dumsormania. In fact it is a good example to show that if power of options (just a little of it) can be put back into the choices of Ghanaians we can solve our own problems. To tell you the truth, it wasn't that it was forgotten - it was omitted with intent. I must say though there was a point in the communique that said something should be done - in the long term to curb the problem. But I agree your suggestion is practical and feasible. Why not.

Interesting!! That with all the brains and "Experts" at the forum, Nobody saw the implementation of the Freedom of Information act as an ESSENTIAL tool to minimize CORRUPTION (ALSO NOT MENTIONED),which is the MAJOR CAUSE OF OUR WOES!! These 22 points are nothing but an academic summary of a discussion. They are not policy laws enacted by parliament, and backed by any legal force. They ARE NOT NEW!!

As for the Information Act, you and I know why they wont pass it now. You wait till this government goes out of power and see the force with which they would pressure another party's government to implement it. Just watch. Its all we are good at - to be effective in opposition and boycott everything

One point struck a cord with me most, that is how it is that we find ourselves where we are today, to the point where it's become necessary to organise, as you aptly name it, this Senchi 22-course buffet! Are the people given the mandate to oversee this country really in charge or, as it looks, sleeping on the job? Look at how fast our cedi has depreciated, then out of the blue comes a raft of counter measures to shore it up - only bolting the gate only after the horse had run out, for godnesses sake who is in charge of this country!

Sadly Kwapps. We are in charge - but without the authority and power to run the show. The people have been made to believe the only time they have that authority and power is one day, every 4 years.
