When did corruption in Ghana become part of our lifestyle? It all become open ended when the cedis was changed. We were told that 'the value is the same' but the currency was devalued. Ghanaians didn't tighten their belts but continued to live lifestyles that was not affordable. So now all, police, civil servants, doctors, judiciary, politicians,priests and so called pastors are at it.Corruption was their even during Kwame Nkurmah's time but only by a few people were at it now about 80% are at it so it looks like under Mahama it's more rampant but trust me it going to get worse unless we address this unreal lifestyle we are leading in our beloved country.

After reading this article I felt some heaviness in my heart. It appears we have completely lost our moral bearing and have become lost souls roaming about in complete darkness. When I left Ghana almost 20 years ago I vowed never to return to that country again because my spirit could not accomodate the cheating, lying and all the greed that had become part of daily living. From the look of things it appears the situation has worsened. How did we get into this mess at all in the first place? What need(s) to be done to change the mentality of Ghanaians and bring us back on the moral track? What can we as ordinary individual citizens do to help stop this rot? At this point in the history of our country, we need morally upright, ruthless, no-nonsense and fearless leaders who are prepared to fight the cancer to the last drop of blood. What we do not need is a normal looking president. The fight will never be won with a normal, gentle approach.

Involved persons must take stock of themselves. Resources for policing them can be used to provide the needed infrastructure to benefit all and sundry.
