I don't agree with persons like you who think justice does not matter in this case, but peace. Only fools think along that line. Yes, it's not for nothing that a good chunk of the people are crying for justice. And you feel that it's unreasonable? They're more than justified in their call for justice. Justice, indeed, must prevail, must be served. Justice means the truth, and peace shall manifest when the truth stands. Truth is the evidence that we all saw on the petitioners' side. No twisting of facts! In her wisdom, the Chief Justice had vouched for live telecast of this all-time election petition for all to see rather than being heard quietly out of sight. NDC would have taken advantage to conceal the truth. Now the doubting Thomases have all been shamed.
We don't need Rocket Science nor special judicial knowledge to predict the winner. Now these same stupid people are praising NPP for going to court rather than resorting to violence, contrary to earlier claims that NPP is a violent Party. Asiedu Nketsia, now in hibernation because of shame, said that only fools go to court. OK, so the fool as he is, Akufo Addo went to court. Thankfully, he has succeeded in convincing all and sundry that Mahama doesn't deserve to be President, at least for now. NDC vehemently refuted allegations of electoral fraud, violations and malpractices. They insinuated that the petitioners were unnecessarily crying over spilt milk and just calling for trouble. But the whole world witnessed on TV these massive, unprecedented
and unpardonable violations and electoral crimes committed by Afari Gyan(EC) and NDC, that seriously marred the elections and short-circuited Mahama to power, and which will be reversed soon.
It's for this reason, coupled with Afari Gyan's own admission of guilt at some point, that the masses are crying out that our Judges must dispense justice without fear or favour. No unwarranted political or tribal undertones. The Judges know too well that to rule in favour of NDC would mean great dishonour and disservice to the good people of Ghana and themselves. Their reputation is at stake. They're about to make history and would not let go that opportunity. Mahama and his cohorts know they'll lose and must be preparing by now for a sweet exit. If you are one of them, Mr Writer, then I'm sorry you must be getting ready for a big "funeral". You see, NDC would have tried to get off the hook the petition hadn't been shown live on TV. We still remember how NDC condemned the Theodora Woods'appeal for GTV to telecast it live. Crooks like Bernard Mornah, Kwesi Pratt and a host others were used as propaganda tools to kick against the idea. It was too obvious that was going to do a lot of damage to them. Did they succeed? The battle is the Lord's indeed. This is how far He has brought us.
