NPP: MOANING AND WHINNING

"In all fairness and seriousness, do you want the narcotic and drug business which was heralded as the GOLDEN AGE/ERA of business under Kufuor’s watch to go away in 5 months when Kufuor ‘s ministers and NPP MP’s like Amoateng (who is now serving in prison sentence in America)

GEE, NANA ANSAH, NPP HERALDED DRUG IN OUR SOCIETY?

How could the NPP have heralded drug in our society when Ghana was rated number one drug hub in 1999 when your NDC was in power?

I thought HERALD means, precede, usher in, so how could NPP ussher something in when it was already there before they came in?

GHANA: Preparing for the anti-drug fight

Ghanaian officials on Monday began a five-day workshop to draw up a national action plan on drug control, Ghanaian radio reported on Monday.

Addressing the workshop, sponsored by the African Anti-Drug Programme and the European Union, Interior Minister Nii Okaidja Adamafio reaffirmed his government's determination to sustain the war against drug dealers.

Despite its anti-drug efforts, Ghana is still being used as a transit point for trafficking cocaine and heroin, he told the workshop.

"Ghana rated No.1 in Drug Trafficking" - Prof Addy

By Emelia Gifty Appoh, GIJ Intern

Accra - Ghana has become number one among African countries in narcotic drugs trafficking. This was disclosed by the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Professor Patrick Addy, at the opening ceremony of a two-day workshop on "eradicating streetism in the next millennium"

Prof. Addy said many Ghanaians have become so money-minded and grossly materialistic that they behave as if our main objective in life is money.

Because of this people have resorted to bad modes of acquisition of wealth such that scores of Ghanaians export or attempt to export Indian hemp.
