GOOD HISTORY

You made some good points but over generalized issues.

First of all, one of the main reasons why SOME of the youth from the Volta and other parts of the country mostly the North hide their identies among predominatly Akan settings is because of the way the Akan had managed to demean, demonize, and looked down upon them and passed that onto other generations.

Again, its not all of the youth as you believe but SOME.

Their hate and demeaning of EWE's especially as every one knows is because of Rawlings and the revolution.

They looked down upon the Northners because of poverty they inherited from the colonioal masters and the natural conditions up there which forces them into menial jobs when they come to Accra and Kumasi.

Does that mean Akans do not engage in such jobs to warrant the same negativities? The answer is no, and the only reason is because of the numbers which favors the Akan.

Rawlings did not engaged in the venture of separation because he is not a tribalist and also his Ewe side is Anlo which did not believe in the entire movement since the days of Nkrumah.

Ewes nor any other tribe did not called for separation when Rwalings was in power because during JJ's regime, no ethnic group sang the song "Ye gye yen mang"

When JJ was in power no ethnic group went on radio and openly insulted any other ethnic group and decided to marginalize any.

Every one went about with their daily activities irrespective of tribe, language, oe region except those that challenged the gov't.

I hope you get this facts right.
