One did not need a prophet to prophesy that controversial sports journalist, Patrick Osei Agyeman, popularly known as Countryman Songo would on his ‘Fire for Fire’ show, turn the heat on President Akufo-Addo following the latter’s response to his question at Wednesday’s media encounter.

He had asked the President whether he was interested in the White Paper on the report of the commission of enquiry set to probe Ghana’s disastrous Brazil 2014 World Cup Campaign and was not satisfied with the answer.

The President remarked that the white paper produced from the evidence gathered by the Dzamefe Commission to serve as a roadmap for the administration of football in the country has been forgotten and is not one of his major worries.

“Am I interested in the 2014 white paper? On these matters, truth is usually the best answer. To be honest, I’ve forgotten about the 2014 White Paper. But I have no doubt that my Minister of Sports is fully up to it and will advise in due course what should be the reaction of me and the government to it. But it has not been something that has been very much on my radar,” he said.

As Songo prepared to throw shots at the President on his show, Thursday, he danced to Ebony’s hit song, ‘Maame Hwe’ – which somewhat summed up his presentation on the day.

A portion of the song which says, “I hate you so much right now” was looped for a very long time as he sang along, exhibited his dance skills and readied to ‘fire’ the President in a professional way.
