Pentecost School Bus conductor crashed to death

A conductor in a School Bus belonging to Pentecost Preparatory School in Koforidua was crashed to death while attempting to jump on the Bus with registration number 2723 -14.

The incident occured Thursday around 4 pm in Koforidua.

The deceased identified as Ofori Atta,55, doubled as a Librarian in the school.

As a conductor ,the late Ofori Atta was responsible for assisting Schoolchildren onboard the bus to safely alight and cross roads to their respective homes .

On the fateful day, deceased however, missed his steps while attempting to jump on the moving vehicle to clench onto a metal bar at the passengers gate after assisting a pupil to cross safely at Agartha Market road.

He reportedly hit the side of the bus with is body frame and crashed onto the tarred road. The Bus run over his legs while on the ground with severe fracture to his head killing him on the spot.

The ancident attracted scores of people to the scene. His lifeless body was removed by the Police and deposited at the morgue.

The Bus driver is assisting Police in investigation.

Some parents claimed their children were traumatised by the inciednt and could not eat at home.
