Thousands of sympathizers were present at the burial service of dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns to pay their last respect.

Ebony Reigns died on February 8, 2018, in a gory motor accident at Nyamebekyere near Mankranso in the Brong Ahafo region and was buried on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

The final funeral rites of the late ‘Maame Hwe’ hitmaker was held at the forecourt of the State House, Accra with many sympathizers trooping in to the funeral grounds to mourn.

Ebony was buried at the Osu Cemetery.

The burial service attracted high profile personalities, colleague musicians and other players from the creative arts industry.

Stonebowy, Andy, Afia Schwerzneger, Dabbo, Kwaku Manu, Wanlov, Kojo Antwi, Patapaa, Ex Doe, Samini, Country Man Songo, Serwaa, were among the many celebrities who were there to pay their last respect to Ebony.

Top officials from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) including, businessman Ibrahim Mahama, former AMA boss Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, former Gender Minister Nana Oye Lithur, among others also showed up in their numbers to commiserate with friends and family of the late singer.

Born February 16, 1997 Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, who is widely known for her hits ‘Sponsor’, ‘Maame hw3’ and ‘Kupe’, got her musical breakthrough after an encounter with Bullet of the famous music duo Ruff and Smooth. Bullet who eventually became her manager, encouraged and propelled Ebony to become a household name in Ghana.



She proved herself worthy to be maintained in the industry after her first song "Dancefloor", in December 2015 became a hit and was nominated for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.



She has been tipped to win the ‘Artist of the Year” which is the topmost and most prestigious award at this year’s Ghana Music Awards which comes off next month.
