The Founder and Leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International Reverend Owusu Bempah has stated that it’s pointless for Ghanaians especially Parliamentarians to gag against fake prophets and churches which have sprung up in the country.

A section of Ghanaians including Parliamentarians have spoken against fake prophets whose activities tend to create fear and panic arguing that they must be stopped before they turn the country into a turmoil.

But Owusu Bempah who also stands accused when it comes to doom prophecies described as uncalled for attacks on some pastors in the country.

He observed that some churches and pastors help in shaping the country and bringing them down will not augur well for the country.

He feared that the Akufo-Addos’ government will be blamed if churches are gagged saying President Akufo-Addo loves the church as well the Islam religion.

Speaking on Neat FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, he said, ‘The treatment meted out to some pastors is uncalled for, the disrespect shown to pastors must be stopped, we shouldn’t forget that some pastors have contributed immensely to the development of the country. Gaging against churches will not augur well for the country, besides the Akufo-Addo’s administration will be blamed if this action is taken by Parliamentarians and to a large extent Ghanaians’.

Prophet Owusu Bempah blamed charlatans who are bent on bringing the work of God into disrepute saying majority of them have refused to draw lessons from senior pastors.

He admitted that profane words by some pastors should be condemned advising them to be mindful of their actions taking the opportunity to blast senior pastors who shun young pastors who attempt to get closer to them saying the former become pompous when they are insulted publicly

‘I blame the fake pastors for their actions, I expect the young ones to learn from the senior pastors but they do things their own way. Some of the senior pastors don’t welcome the junior pastors when they attempt to approach them,’ he fumed.

He suggested to Ghanaians who are not comfortable with activities of these fake prophets to report them to either the Christian or Pentecostal councils.

The Founder and Leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International wondered why the Parliamentarians have kept mum about the fetish priests who exhibit on Television and Radio how people can acquire juju money ‘sakawa’.

‘The Members of Parliament and Ghanaians have not seen the activities of fetish priests on TV and Radio, but are rather bashing pastors,’ he pointed out.
