The MP for Assin South, John Ntim Fordjour, has donated 300 dual desks and 40 teachers’ furniture to ensure that the over 1,500 pupils in Assin Ochiso D/A Basic School and Assin Kruwa D/A Basic School, all have decent and comfortable seats for effective teaching and learning.

This is part of the vision of the MP to improve the quality of basic education in his constituency.

He was accompanied by the District Director of Education, Mr Stephen Abamfo.

The Chiefs, teachers and parents expressed profound gratitude for the kind gesture by the MP. The pupils gathered around the MP in excitement, each wanting a handshake from the legislator.

Rev Ntim Fordjour charged the pupils to commit to learning and discipline and pledged support for as many pupils who excel in their studies to reach the highest attainment possible.

The MP further charged both teachers and the pupils to embrace the culture of maintenance to ensure the furniture donated is put to judicious and lasting use.
