Normalization Committee has made us miss Kwesi Nyantekyi - Bechem United C.E.O

The Bank roller of Bechem United football Club, Nana Kwesi Darling has disclosed that the ineffectiveness of the Normalization Committee in the discharge of their core mandate and the lackadaisical approach in running of football in the country has made them miss the era of former President of the FA, Kwesi Nyanteyi.

Lamenting on the current state of inactive football in the country, Nana Kwesi Darling in an interview with Esther Abankwa on Angel TV observed that they despite the fact that some of them didn't like some of the things the former president was doing, and were constantly hammering on corruption, Kwesi Nyantekyi was very diligent with his work.

"In fact,with what this NC is doing,they have made us (football people) miss Kwesi Nyantekyi. Although some of us fought Kwesi Nyantekyi while hammering on some issues of corruption, this NC is allowing Ghana Football to take a nose- dive ," he said.

He further revealed that the inactive state of football in the country has also made most of the players to retire from football.

The former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi was banned for life from all football-related activities.

He was also fined 500,000 Swiss Francs for various breaches of FIFA’s ethics as well as conflict of interest.

The ruling followed an undercover sting investigation by Ghana’s investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
