The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced it will hold an aptitude test for teachers who applied for teaching job online.

The test which will be held on Friday September 28, 2018, will cover areas such as English, Quantitative and Supervisory judgment.

In a statement, the GES said an examination fee of GHC40 should be paid through the same web address where the application was made for the job.

The aptitude test comes at a time the GES is facing backlash from some teachers over the recently organised licensure exams.

The examination, which began on September 10 is for all teachers who hold Diploma in Basic Education (DBE), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or a post-graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) aiming to be employed by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

The National Teaching Council (NTC) warned that new teachers who refuse to sit the examination cannot work in any school in Ghana.
