CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM 1) honoured former President John Agyekum Kufuor with 5 pieces of 22 carats of pure gold coins at the AU Arts Festival today.

The coins which had the picture of the former president embossed on each were auctioned for Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20K), to support a worthy course being championed by the President Agyekum Kufuor (JAK) Foundation, and other major stakeholders.

The AU Arts Festival, which took place at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Accra was put together by the AU Arts Foundation, in close partnership with JAK Foundation, OK Communications, and Malaika Media.

The festival was to honour the former president, for his contribution towards the development of the creative arts industry; and the vision and steps he adopted towards achieving development for Ghana and the African continent, during his tenure.

The 3-day Arts Festival also creates an avenue to raise funds to support the laudable projects of the JAK Foundation.

In attendance were Former President Kufuor, 2nd Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Samira Bawumia, the Minister of Tourism, Cathrine Afeku, CEO of the JAK Foundation, Professor Agyemang Duah, CEO of Malaika Media, Mr Ampah Sahara, Okyeame Kwame and his wife, Anika Nsiah-Apau; and other industry players including the media, cultural troops, the visual artists who displayed their paintings of the Former President.
