An aspirant in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) parliamentary primaries in the Ododiodiodio constituency, Nii Lante Bannerman has said he is optimistic of a successful win.

He indicated that he is expectant of a 75% win in the primaries and ready to prepare for another victory in the 2020 elections.

"Let me be very economical with you. Let me give myself some 75% and I'm not mincing words…we are getting 75% and may even get more than that. I'm not being complacent, I'm not being overconfident but that is what would happen".

Responding to the claim made by his opponent Nii Lante Bannerman, Nathaniel Nartey said the odds look rather bleak for him.

“I wish him well but I don’t think he will win because so far I don’t see what he has presented to the people. I have complete strategic material for the development of Odododiodio constituency.”

Also confident of his victory, he hinted that his decision to contest the election was because the people have been used and abused and he is of the view that his win will bring relief to the people of Odododiodio constituency.

“I think I am winning because I have what it takes to win and I know I can do the job. I can win because the other contestants, there is tension between them.

"I have come to help my people because they have been used, abused and abandoned and I don’t want my people to suffer anymore," he said at the Sacred Heart SHS in the Ododiodiodio constituency where the election is currently ongoing.
