The National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Joshua Hamidu Akamba has said the largest opposition party is looking forward to winning back the Parliamentary seat now vacant by the death of Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency Member of Parliament (MP), Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, MyNewsGh.com has filed.

Mr Akamba who has been widely condemned for saying the late NPP MP died with a grudge against Akufo-Addo for the ill-treatment he and his brother, deposed Energy Minister endured also said the bye-election offers NDC a chance to show Mr Akufo-Addo that the seat Agyarko held was no mean seat.

Mr Akamba said the Ayawaso West Wuogon Seat has been an old seat of his party which will be re-won in a by-election.

“We will go there and take our seat. Don’t forget that seat used to be an NDC seat and so we will go there and take the seat. If the president has taken Mr. Agyarko for granted, then we will go and take our seat back” he vowed.

On bitterness, he said: The man is bitter. You know I have spoken to him a couple of times and he told me one of his sisters is an ambassador and his brother have been given appointment but his case is different and because of that he [Agyarko] is bitter” he said.

He said that was his tribute to Mr Agyarko.

“I believe that when a person dies, we prepare tributes for the deceased and so that is my tribute to him,” he said
