President of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) Trainees, Nana Barimah Asamoah, has revealed that some members of the Corps are being victimised for complaining about unpaid allowances.

He said the practice has gone to the extent that people who even complain on the group’s various social media platforms are being figured out by the Coordinators who are not on the platform.

Mr. Asamoah added that he knows some members who have not received any allowance because they complained about the delay in payments.

"If you complain on the social media platforms, coordinators will figure you out. I know trainees who have not been paid because coordinators victimised them for lamenting excessively on pages because they weren’t being paid.’’

He went on to add that “you don’t expect any reasonable, logical graduate who have been working for almost 8 months not to complain. You cannot suppress that person”.

He further expressed his disappointment in the attempt to politicise what he described as a laudable initiative.

“I am appealing to stakeholders to look at the pettiness of our issues and address them.”

Nana Barimah was speaking to the media Friday morning at the Obra Spot in Accra where members of the Coalition were supposed to begin a protest over delayed payment of allowances.

“I was panelled on this issue to call this demonstration off but I have to override all these for the sake of the passion to see to it that every NABCO lives comfortably on this scheme” he revealed after only seven people turned up for the demonstration.
