Martin Amidu going to battle with principalities in government - Asiedu Nketia

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is urging the Independent Special Prosecutor to fortify himself for the task ahead.

He revealed that, Martin Amidu will be dealing with principalities and powers in the Akufo-Addo government thus must be ready for war.

The appointment of Martin Amidu, also known as citizen vigilante, has been met with mixed reactions from both members of the NDC and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

While the NPP is jubilating because corrupt officials in the erstwhile Mahama-led administration will be jailed, the NDC believe it is a recipe for disaster.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s “Ekosii Sen” programme on Monday, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said the appointment of Martin Amidu though apt, he must be given autonomy to work.

He indicated that, the former Attorney General is still a member of the party, but does not deserve a pat on the back for his feat since it was not a recommendation from the party.

General Mosquito could not fathom why people are happy NDC members will be prosecuted because Martin Amidu is Special Prosecutor.

He stated the onus now lies on Mr. Amidu to prove the numerous allegations he made against officials of the previous government.

“Those happy NDC will be prosecuted are just ignorant of the law. We are ready for him” the NDC scribe opined.

General Mosquito wished Martin Amidu well and urged government not to interfere in his work.
