The Chief Executive Officer of the John Agyekum Kufuor Foundation, Baffour Agyeman – Duah has urged Ghanaians to learn from the passion and dedication of the late former Secretary General of the United Nations, to make the world a better place for all.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ghanacrusader.com, he opined that ‘Ghanaians can learn not only from the peaceful demeanor, but his dedication to duty and unwavering spirit towards making the world a better place. ”

He further added that, the aura of serenity that surrounds Mr. Annan, including his humility despite reaching the pinnacle of world most celebrated positions within the United Nations was his greatest asset in dealing with complexity of the worlds politics.

”Mr. Annan was most pleasing a personality to encounter. He had an aura of serenity around him, very humble and unassuming, despite reaching the pinnacle of the world’s most celebrated organization, the position of the UN Secretary General. His personality was perhaps his greatest asset in dealing successfully with the complexity of world politics.”

The world was thrown into a state of mourning with the news of the passing away of former United Nations (UN) General Secretary, Mr. Kofi Annan at age 80,



The Ghanaian died at a hospital in Switzerland, Saturday, August 18,2018 morning after short illness.

The late Kofi Annan served as the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations from January 1997 to December 2006.



He is the founder and chairman of the Kofi Annan Foundation, as well as chairman of The Elders, an international organization founded by Nelson Mandela.
