Award-winning hiplife artiste, Flowking Stone is calling on music lovers in the Ashanti region to lobby for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) to be hosted in the Garden City.

The artiste who was a special guest on Hummer time on Pure Morning Drive on Kumasi-based Pure Fm says music lovers in the Ashanti region must have a common voice to convince organizers of VGMA to host the event in kumasi.

Responding to comments from the host, He added that a lot more needs to be done to drag home the event.

“You see inasmuch as we need a common voice, we also need the numbers. Trust me this is a game of numbers. Once event organizers record huge vote patterns from this region; we’re good to go.”

“An example is my brother and friend, Fancy Gadam. Charter House realized that the Tamale people loved him and his music and were ready to vote massively for him, so they didn’t have a choice than to nominate him which he won eventually. That’s the spirit!.” He added.

FlowKing Stone was awarded with the “Hhip-life Song of the Year” at the 18th edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He won the award with his “Go Low” song which received massive airplay and reviews.

This year, he has been nominated in the Hiplife Song of the Year category with Medikal, sarkodie and a host of others.

Background
