Ghanaians are 'ignorant' - Zylofon Media CEO

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has described Ghanaians as “ignorant”.

Mr Appiah Mensah made the comment on Monday on his radio station, Zylofon FM following an interview to explain further a tweet he posted about Ebony’s death.

The businessman in a tribute to the late dancehall artiste expressed his condolence to the family of Ebony and went ahead to reveal some confidential conversation he had with her before her demise.

He indicated “tribute are mostly based on the last encounter one has had with the deceased."

But Ghanaians on social media did not take it likely with the Zylofon boss, for disclosing a private and confidential information.

Mr Mensah in an interview clarified his stance and noted that his tweet was a call for affirmative action for women in the entertainment industry.

He narrated that Ebony called him while he was in London and told him that she wanted to join the growing Zylofon Media brand.

He spoke to Ebony on his return to Ghana where they reached an agreement.

Nana Appiah added that he is not worried by the insulting comments from the public. Your derogatory messages cannot break me.

These verbal assaults amount to mob injustice.” He however, opined that he is not beyond criticisms.

“I'm not beyond criticisms, I accept all criticisms in good faith.”

Nana Appiah Mensah said that he had intentions of signing Ebony this week and was willing to pay Ruff Town Records off in order to poach Ebony to Zylofon Media.
