GFA is killing Ghana football - Prophet One

Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom

Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom, the founder and leader of the Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center in Kumasi has launched a scathing attack on Ghana Football Association, describing the body’s leadership as a “failure”.

In an unusual fashion, the ‘Prophet One’, as he is affectionately known in Kumasi, descended heavily on the FA for overseeing a monumental decline of the game.

During his weekly Sunday service at the Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center, Reverend Adarkwa Yiadom bemoaned Ghana’s inability to win major trophies in football despite the massive investments, saying the Black Stars belong to the nation and must be protected from individual control.

He further questioned the mandate of the president of the Association, who he claimed, has not done enough to develop football.

“I want to ask the Ghana FA chairman if he is the chairman just for the position sake or he is there to develop the game and ensure the country win laurels at international competitions”.

“Since time immemorial, Ghana has not won any major cup aside the U-20”. “The Ghana Black Stars have not won any major trophy for over 40 years now but nobody seems to care. From Abedi Pele, to Tony Yeboah and Stephen Appiah have all come and gone”.

“It is purely as a result of the policies of the leadership. They must make things better at the GFA. With all the dollars, you cannot be there as president of the GFA and not do anything but just be there as the chairman just like that”, He added.

The controversial Prophet also attacked the manner in which players are selected into the various national teams, saying some administrators are fond of influencing the selection process.

“What is going on in our football. If there are better players elsewhere and we need to invite them, lets do that on merit and stop influencing coaches”, ALSO READ: Team Ghana arrives in London ahead of WAC.

“If you are a football administrator and you want to coach the team, bring your CV and let us give you the job instead of influencing selection. Stop doing this is my boy, that is my boy”.

“I was there when the Local Black Stars lost to Burkina in Kumasi and I couldn’t believe it. How can Ghana look on for our game to sink”,
