Newly elected National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye says he does not believe popular pollster Ben Ephson ever did any survey on the NPP polls held at the weekend as he claimed ahead of the exercise.

According to Nana Boakye popularly called Nana B, the chairmanship slot among few others where he was spot on with his prediction on Freddy Blay was as a result of his long standing friendship with the elected chairman, therefore he couldn’t have placed his bet on any other person than Blay.

“If he’d really conducted survey from the grounds he won’t have come out with that predictions. I read a certain leaked report from the National Security on your portal [kasapafmonline.com] in the lead up to the weekend poll and I realised that the results from the election grounds tallied with their predictions.” he told host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5. FM.

An intercepted polls conducted by the National Security suggested that Freddie Blay, F. F. Antoh, Rita Talata Asobayire, Omari Waddie, John Boadu, Sammi Awuku, Abankwa Yeboah, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) and Kate Gyamfua would win their respective contests and form the next NPP National Executive Body.

Prior to the NPP’s National Executives elections, Pollster Ben Ephson had a similar prediction where he indicated Henry Nana Boakye may not have a chance against his main contender, Dominic Eduah, as a result of the party’s decision not expanding the electoral college.

“He’s a likeable aspirant and has massive appeal on social media and all that but I tell you the effect of the electoral college will hit him hard. He’ll be disfavoured by the NPP’s decision not to open up the electoral college.” he told Kasapa 102.5 FM.

But Nana B over the weekend defied Ephson’s predictions and scaled up his votes from the delegates to emerge the NPP’s National Youth Organizer.

He polled 423 votes to beat his contenders Dominic Kwesi Edua, Kamal Deen and Appiah Dansah who polled 243 votes, 102 votes and 1 vote respectively at the party’s 26th Annual Delegates Conference held in Koforidua in the Eastern Region on Saturday July 7, 2018.

Meanwhile, Political watchers say Sammy Awuku’s successor [Nana B] will have a challenging tenure in keeping the momentum of his record.
