Chief of Effutu Zongo, Salaki Sulemana Salaga IV, has blown the cover of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Reverend Professor Anthony Afful-Broni over plots to sabotage the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Alexander Afenyo-Markin.

In a strongly worded letter from the Chief to the Catholic Priest, he observed that the university has known no peace ever since Afful-Broni became the Vice Chancellor with series of machinations against persons who disagree with him in principle.

Salaki Sulemana Salaga IV shockingly revealed that Reverend Professor Anthony Afful-Broni visited him to talk to government withdraw auditors from the Auditor General’s Departments who were going through the books of the school wondering what he was afraid of if he is clean.

“I wonder why you shamelessly indulge in such conduct when not too long ago you and Bawa came to my palace pleading with me to talk to government officials to withdraw auditors from the Auditor General’s Departments If you are that clean and haven’t misappropriated state funds why were you afraid of Audit? I recall your apprehension that should the audit continue there will be a ‘big shame’ on your image. As a priest of the Catholic Church, you are expected to respect all officers of the University rather than victimizing and antagonizing them. The Muslim community in Effutu love and cherish the works of Hon. Afenyo-Markin and will not sit down for you and your cohorts including your Bawa and Osei Barima to tarnish his image. If you have gotten your independent candidate you are sponsoring to contest the 2020 elections go ahead and do so with your ill-gotten wealth but not at the expense and reputation of our dear MP”, he stated in the letter.
