AshantiGold SC coach Charles Akunnor says he was not convinced by his side's performance despite their win over Inter Allies in Week 9 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Miners needed a 13th-minute strike from Roland Amouzou to overcome Inter Allies 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Saturday.

Despite the victory, coach Akunnor lamented on their profligacy but insisted that he will work on it in their subsequent games.

"What matters most in every game is victory and we managed to get it [that's our fifth win of the season]," Coach Akunnor told reporters.

"We won the game but I wasn't convinced with the scoreline, we were poor upfront which we need to work on it.

"Yes....because we had several opportunities before and after Amouzou's goal but they couldn't find the back of the net. Things will change in our subsequent games".

AshantiGold sits on top of the Ghana Premier League table with 17 points.
