The Member of Parliament for Dome/Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has assured her constituents to be patient and remain calm since she is on course to fixing all the road networks in her locality that are in deplorable state.

According to her, the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has the constituency at heart and has therefore approved all the requests concerning their roads which were tabled before him to be fixed.

She said even though some works have already started on the Taifa and Haatso roads, the remaining road networks in the constituency that are still in bad conditions will also have their turn to be fixed.

She made this observation, when she officially cut the sod for the commencement of a 4.3km road from the Atomic Junction to Abuom near the Berthel Church in her constituency.

Commenting further, she said she has had enough of the insults as a result of the poor road networks in her constituency, stressing that those roads had long been on the radar of the government ever since it took over power from the previous government.

According to her, the 2019 Budget and Economic Policy Statement of the government has made provisions to fix 25km of the road networks in her constituency, appealing to the constituents to remain calm since it will surely get to their turn.

Still on Dome/Kwabenya Roads, the Greater Accra Regional Roads Engineer, Adwoa Duku, has stated that all is set for the contractor, Messrs Ghacos Limited to commence work on the Kwabenya roads on Monday, November 26, 2018, since the designs for the first phase of the dual carriage road have been completed and handed over to the contractor.

The scope of work, she added, include; the construction of drains, culverts at principal sections and earth works among others.

She pleaded with the community to give their fullest cooperation to the contractor for the road project to be completed successfully.

The road is expected to be completed in about 12 months’ time.
