Asamoah Gyan to fly to Mongomo for hip scan today

Ghana FA officials are flying Captain Asamoah Gyan to Mongomo to undergo the scan on his injured hip; DailySoccerGhana.com can confirm.

The 29-year-old has to be jetted to Mongomo since that is the only city in Equatorial Guinea that has a hospital with an MRI equipment for the scan.

The Al Ain attacker injured his hip after Guinea goalkeeper Naby Yattara collided with him in the dying embers of the 3-0 win in the AFCON 2015 quarter-final clash on Sunday.

The ex-Udinese and Rennes attacker has scored only one goal in three AFCON 2015 appearances for the Black Stars.
