Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, was compromised in his investigative work that uncovered rot within the Ghana Football Association (GFA), a former Chairman of the GFA, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has said.

According to him, Anas was compromised when he allowed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and all the former presidents of Ghana to have a first view of the investigative documentary dubbed “Number 12” before premiering to the public at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe speaking on the documentary in an interview on the ‘21 Minutes with KKB’ said, among other things that: “I have no problem with what he (Anas) is doing, I have no problem at all. The only problem I have, not with him, but with his system, is that if you are able to do a very good work as an investigative journalist, for heaven sake, that work is for the public, it is for the common man. Let the common man see it first. Do not allow any other person to have a look at it. That is the only difference I have with him.

“I don’t care whose name is mentioned (in the tape). It wasn’t only the president who saw it, I am told former President Mahama also saw it, former President Rawlings also saw it, former President Kufuor also saw it. It is wrong.

“It is totally wrong. That alone tells you Anas can be compromised. Why should he release the tape to certain people? If the president has been mentioned what about the others, were they also mentioned? None of them was mentioned. Why should they also view it before the general public? That is the only reason I will never have to go there and look at that tape because as far as I am concerned he is been compromised.”
