You posed the best question: "Why record a sex act in the first place?". You hit it right on the nail with your question. Those who make these sex tapes claim they have a right to record what is private, forgetting that in this age of technology, the word "private" no longer has meaning. These folks are well aware of leaked sex tapes almost on a daily basis, yet they continue to record themselves in their sex acts. I don't care to see these tapes, and I also do not shed a tear for anyone recording themselves in a sex act that later finds itself in the public domain. The only reasons why these folks record themselves in their sex acts is either to one day blackmail one another, or to intentionally "leak" I to the public in the hope of gaining notoriety, like Kadarshian or Paris Hilton. Anything save on a phone or computer is subject to being hacked, and these sex act recorders know that. So why cry or be surprised when the so-called private act becomes a free show on the public domain?
