MTN Hitmaker: Final eviction on Sunday

All too soon the hitmaker train is getting closer and closer to its final destination with the final eviction slated for Sunday, October 13.

After yet another thrilling performance from the contestants, Ghanaians opted to kick out Priznerz from the competition, after the duo garnered the least votes and also failed to impress the judges.

On Sunday, the final eviction show will take place and all will be set for the grand finale in a couple of weeks. At the last eviction the contestants had their pockets of noisy supporters in the audience.

The support alone, however, would not snatch the top prize for their favourite person. Public voting and input from the judges are the crucial determinants in who is crowned the MTN Hitmaker 2013 by the end of this month.

Cano Z has surprised many with his great sense of showmanship. His acting background seems to be serving him well. He won the Best Performer prize again, making it three times for him.

“It is always difficult to predict what he would come up with on stage,” says judge Bessa Simons about Cano Z. With these five poised to make it to the finish line, audiences everywhere can sit back for an intense show next Sunday.

Being the only female still hanging in, Nana Adobea may be getting some sympathy votes for that reason. She has, however, been able to effectively carry her Christ-laden music across. She has been saved twice by the judges.

Kofi Korea came into the show with a lot of experience, having been a fixture on the Tema music scene for sometime. His appearances have been fairly good but he has also been saved by the judges on two occasions but on the night, he won the Best Dressed prize while his producer, Ephraim was adjudged the best for the week.

K Bee is always an energetic performer. He often blasts his way onto the stage with a great deal of zest that sweeps audiences along with him. It is not clear yet how much subtlety he can bring to his act but for now, he seems to be floating into the last four.

Koo Ntakara is said to have developed a huge fan base in places like Kumasi and Koforidua. He appears to be getting into his own and getting more confident with every show.

The MTN Hitmaker airs on GTV, Metro TV, Multi TV and UTV on Sundays at 8.30pm. It also airs on eTV and Cyrstal TV on Saturdays at 8.00pm and on GH One at 7.00pm on Saturdays.
