Women pretend to enjoy sex to boost the ego of men – Akosua Sakyi-Agyekum

The constant struggle of women with sexual pleasure has been blamed on men and the society. Many women have complained bitterly about how love making which should be enjoyed has rather become a chore for them.

According to these women, they pretend to enjoy sex because it has become too boring, and the desire to reach orgasm has become more of a dream than a reality.

Men’s Health Magazine advises that foreplay is as vital to good sex as actual intercourse, for an incredible orgasmic experience

But according to a guest on the Ghanaweb TV’s Moans and Cuddles show, foreplay which is basically the most important thing when making love is missing in the sex game, and more women are pretending to enjoy sex because that is a way to boost the man’s ego.

She said the Ghanaian society has taught the young Ghanaian woman not to explore her sexuality so when people are having sex and not enjoying it, it becomes difficult to communicate to their partners for fear of being tagged ‘a bad girl’ and as a result, many women end up pretending.

“Our society has taught the young Ghanaian woman not to really explore her sexuality, so when you are having sex with a guy and you are not even enjoying it, you cannot express yourself, like maybe I want you to touch me here or there, without the fear of the guy thinking that you are a spoilt girl or where did you learn that from, how many men have you been with to have come across such information, so to boost the ego of the man, we just pretend that we are enjoying the sex so that he will hurry and get up”, she told host Akosua Konadu Owusu.

The second episode of Ghanaweb TV’s Moans and Cuddles had an all-female panel, which looked into detail what it takes to satisfy a woman sexually.
