On Saturday, March 7, 2020, Ghanaian rapper, Medikal and actress Precious Makafui Fella proved critics wrong by taking their on-and-off relationship to the next level.

The two tied the knot in a customary marriage ceremony at East Legon, Accra.

The day was supposed to go down in the books of history until actress, Fella Makafui decided to add a little drama to the wedding by staging a collapse.

The couple have since then received serious backlash from the public who described Fella’s move as ‘immature’ and ‘absurd’.

The news team at GhanaWeb visited the University of Professional Studies, Accra, to sample reactions from fans of the newly wedded as to whether the move was justifiable.

Students who spoke to GhanaWeb's Paulina Dedaa Opoku expressed disappointment in the bride adding that they have had enough from the two.

“I don’t buy the explanation she gave, I believe she was stressed out or something…it’s not easy to organize a wedding ceremony… it wasn’t necessarily a prank I don’t buy that… it’s enough, all these stunts are not getting them anything, they should focus on making good music and her also getting into some good movies, the pranks are okay,” Daniel from the University of Professional Studies, Accra advised the new couple.

Another student identified as Awuradwoa, who got disturbed upon receiving the first news about her collapse just couldn’t believe her ears when the bride confirmed that it was all a prank. Speaking to GhanaWeb she said, “We are not going to take them (Medikal and Fella Makafui) seriously because we have had enough from them. The prank wasn’t necessary”.

Fans of Medikal and Fella who claim to have had enough from the two have asked them to take a break from social media and focus on redeeming their image.

“These celebrities are playing on our intelligence which is not fair, for you to collapse and come back to say it was intentional...we’ve had enough from them, they should spare us,” Michael told GhanaWeb.

Contrary to this, rapper AMG Medikal, who seems unbothered about the prank took to his Instagram page to write, "Your prank really got me baby. Lol love you die! I seriously go take Bullet for you. Love you my wife ! Today we go sleep morro”.

The two have now been tagged as people who will do anything to get the public’s attention. In January this year, news broke out that the lovebirds had broken up. To confirm this, Fella Makafui unfollowed Medikal and also went ahead to pull down his photos on her official Instagram page.

Some Ghanaians who were skeptical about the break-up termed it as one of their publicity stunts. Medikal in the midst of the rumour released a song title ‘Come Back’ which featured Kidi in an attempt to apologize to his girlfriend, Fella Makafui. The two were seen together a few weeks later confirming the claim that the breakup was just an attempt to promote Medikal’s song.
