Clad in black and red, scores of sympathizers are in tears as they bid farewell to seasoned journalist Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong.

KABA as he was affectionately called until his death had risen steadily in rank at the Multimedia Group where he worked as a Broadcast Journalist and also endeared himself to the hearts of several more who watched and listened to his programs across the country.

He was presenter of late afternoon programme 'Eko sii sen' on Asempa FM as well as sit-in host of Adom FM's 'Dwaso Nsem' programme and Adom TV's 'Badwam'.

KABA died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Saturday, November 18 and was survived by a wife and a 7-month-old daughter.

A wake keeping ceremony was held for him at his home on Friday December 15, 2017.

KABA joined Asempa FM in 2008 as a service provider and became full time in August 2009. Prior to joining the Multimedia Group, KABA had worked with Top Radio from 2004-2008.

The broadcaster was a trained teacher at the University of Cape Coast after which he moved to the Ghana Institute of Journalism for Communications Studies.

He later enrolled at the University of Ghana to study Political Science. KABA had also hosted Adom TV’s Morning Show on Multi TV.
