The Criminal Court 5 Division of the Accra High Court presided over by Justice George Boadi has granted the request of the state to publish the details and pictures of two other suspects believed to be residents of Kumasi and are linked to the kidnapping of the two Canadian ladies who were rescued a few weeks ago in Kumasi.

The court has further granted the application filed by counsel for the state, Hilda Graig, to be given two weeks more to conclude investigations which could lead to the arrest of some fugitive suspects.

The presiding judge opposed the oral application for bail moved by the counsel for the 8th accused person, Mr Seidu Abubakar. He said the lawyer must make a formal application to that effect.

Meanwhile, the first accused person, Agarlo Sampson, a Nigerian commonly referred to as Romeo, rendered an unqualified apology to the family of the victims, Ghana and the Federal Republic of Nigeria for their conduct and pleaded with the court to admit them to prison custody instead of police custody.

According to him, they have been prevented from seeing or talking to any relative, hence their prison custody prayer to the court.

He further alleged that officials of the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) have been torturing them and also accused the BNI of taking extracting statements from them under duress.
