People now abuse based on number of followers one has – Nigerian actress

Nigerian actress, Adesua Etomi has lamented on the current trend of how people actually abuse others based on their number of followers or following on social media.

According to the wife of popular Nigerian singer Banky W, having many followers doesn’t validate you in life.

Some people will go all the way to embarrass themselves on social media and even go to the extent of exposing themselves just to attain the cheapest title now ‘celebrity status’.

Adesua Etomi who could not fathom why people abuse others based on the number of followers they have,tweeted:

“Welcome to this generation, where people can now abuse you based on the number of followers you have. E.g “see her/him…she/he doesn’t even have up to 500k followers.” Like…I mean…but wait…see ehn? Followers! Is that now what validates us?”
