Participate in TV3 Mentor; you'd make a good contestant - George Quaye fires back at Patience Nyarko

Head of Communication at Charterhouse, George Quaye has reacted to Patience Nyarko’s statement which sought to discredit the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

The musician who lost the Gospel Song of the Year award to Joe Mettle reportedly chastised the scheme, labelling it as bogus.

“I was clearly robbed… I think TV3’s Mentor programme is very credible than the VGMA,” she was quoted to have said on Power FM.

In a sarcastic rebuttal, George Quaye, known for not mincing words, has indicated that the artiste would do well should she decide to take part in the music reality show contest.

“It’s her opinion… I didn’t know Patience Nyarko was interested in participating in Mentor, may be TV3 should consider putting her on and I’m sure she would make a good contestant” he said on the ‘After Hours’ show hosted by Mikki Osei Berko.

The 19th edition of the Ghana Music Awards came off on April 14, 2018 at the Accra International Conference Centre. Joe Mettle’s ‘Bo Noo Ni’ was adjudged Gospel Song of the Year but some critics have said it was not as popular as Patience Nyarko’s ‘Obi Nnyane Me’.
