Ofori Amponsah stole my song – Highlife musician

Ghanaian highlife musician Jeida Rich (formerly known as Richie Rich) has accused Ofori Amponsah of stealing his song.

Known for his feature on C-Zar’s ‘Mercy Loko’ and ‘Akonta’ by Kofi Nti, Richie Rich has said Ofori Amponsah took his song without rewarding him.

He told Londona in an interview on Accra-based Kingdom 107.7 FM that even though he did a couple of songs for Ofori Amponah he failed to give him credit or help him with his music project.

“I was in Ofori Amponsah’s camp. We had a contract that I would help him on his songs he also helps me with my records. But he never did. He even took ‘Aliya’ which was fully composed by me without giving me credit,” he said.

Asked if he would describe the act as music theft, he responded in the affirmative.

He said Ofori was a cheat who did not want others to progress.

Richie was featured on the following songs by Ofori Amponsah; Emmanuella, Acatapoli, Medofia, Aliya, Kokompe, Adwendwen and Broken Heart.
