Nsawam students to participate in cultural festival

Nsawam, Aug. 10, GNA - Seventy students drawn from the Akuapem South District on Monday left Nsawam for Begoro to participate in the 9th Basic Schools Cultural Festival in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency before their departure, the District Cultural Co-ordinator, Nana Bugyei Agyempong said the group was made up of 26 dancers, 24 choristers, 15 storytellers, a drummer, and a poetry recitalist.

Nana Agyempong said the theme for the festival was: "A Bedrock for Discipline in Our Society."

He said the selection of the students was done six months ago when the District Cultural Festival was held at Ahuntem Darmang.
