The Entertainment Chief of Tamale, Deima Naa Adam Musah has reiterated that the local movie industry in the Northern Region is full of potentials that need to be invested into.

He said, despite the challenges facing the industry, the local movie players are on top of their job bringing and producing the best of local movies in the industry, adding that, "we can compete with the rest of the world especially the Nigeria movie industry if we invest in our local movies, we have the best talents here in Tamale".

Deima Naa emphasized that there are so many talents in the movie industry that need to be supported to do more for the industry, adding that, the quality of story-lines and production that comes from the region is relatively good as compared to other local movies produced across the country.

“We must improve on the quality of production and stories to attract investors in the industry”. He advised

Deima Naa Adam Musah who was speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of a newly elected Executives of the Northern Drama and Film Makers Association (NORDRAFIM) in Tamale, urged that the association to continue to produce the best of movies for the industry.

He hinted that the Deima Palace is coming out with a scheme to reward actors, actresses, producers, directors and other industry players.

“We are doing this to encourage the local movie industry players to do their best to keep the industry alive. We appreciate what they do and we want to encourage them through this rewards”.

The Entertainment Chief (Deima Naa) of Tamale announced that he will collaborate with NORDRAFIM and other stakeholders to bring more innovation into the local movie industry.

Deima Naa thanked the past executives of the Association and urged the newly elected executives of NORDRAFIM to live up to their mandate for the benefit of the entire members of the Association.

The Tamale Entertainment Chief called on investors to come to the region to invest in the local movie industry; he reiterated the industry is full of potentials that need to be exploited.

The Former President of NORDRAFIM, Alhassan Yushawu Jahonfo urged the new executives of the association to do more to mitigate some of the challenges facing the industry.

He commended the new executives for conducting themselves well during the elections, saying that, the maturity and brotherliness exhibited during the elections shows that the future of the local movie industry is bright.

Mr. Jahanfo also thanked the entire membership of the association for their patience, collaboration, and hard work during his time as the President of the association and urged members to give same to the new executives of the association.

The newly elected President of NORDRAFIM, Mr. Abdulai Abdul Jalil thanked members of the association for the confident repose on him and urged them to help him and other executives of the association to deliver their mandate.
