NPP sets date to vet parliamentary aspirants

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set a date to vet its parliamentary aspirants who at the close of nominations picked forms and successfully filed to contest in the various constituencies with sitting Members of Parliament (MPs).

Statement from the North East Regional Secretary of the NPP, Lawyer Sulley Sambian reveals that aspirants shall be vetted on February 29 and March 30, 2020, respectively.

Lawyer Sulley Sambian has however revealed that a total of 14 aspirants filed to contest for the three slots in the constituency with Walelwale recording the highest.

In a statement announcing the vetting date, he said” Take Notice, and notice is hereby served that vetting of parliamentary aspirants in the following constituencies will take place at the North-East Regional Coordinating Council on Saturday the 29th February 2020 and Sunday the 1st March 2020.

B. WALEWALE CONSTITUENCY

Only members of the vetting committee and aspirants will be allowed access into the vetting hall.
