Voting in La Dadekotopon was delayed for over an hour as ballot papers did not arrive early at several polling centres in the constituency.

When GhanaWeb visited the La Post office polling centre at 7am, no setup had been made for the commencement of votes. Some party delegates around told the News team that EC officials were yet to arrive at the polling centre with the needed materials.

Though the setup was ready at the La Roman Catholic Primary school polling centre, EC officials were yet to arrive with the ballot papers for polls to commence as at 8:00am.

Some delegates were also seen sitting around waiting for the arrival of the papers.

Former Deputy Communications Minister and incumbent MP for the Area, Vincent Sowah Odotei is facing competition from Joseph Gerald Tetteh Nyanofio and Comfort Adjei Kotey for the seat.

Voting commenced in the constituency after 8:30am.

The ruling New Patriotic Party is holding its parliamentary primaries in 101 constituencies across the country.
