My ex-boyfriend was trying to make a fool out of me - Kaakie

Multiple award-winning dancehall act, Kaakie, has opened up on how her relationship crashed, what caused it, and what the future holds for her.

The 'Too Much' hitmaker made the revelation on the KSM Show last Friday, stating emphatically that she is now single after her boyfriend took advantage of her and cheated too.

She told the host, KSM “I’m now single, I can’t bear his cheating lifestyle any longer, I’ve done my part to make him stop but still. My ex-boyfriend was trying to make a fool out of me, taking advantage of me, his cheating life is just not, not and not”.

The one-time sole female dancehall star also added that she wasn’t enjoying the relationship, and that the sadness was way beyond the happiness she was enjoying in the relationship so she had no choice than to call it quits before it was too late.

On her general view about men, she disclosed, “Nowadays lots of men just don’t like commitment, about 95% of men just don’t want to show commitment. What at all do men gain from cheating?” she asked.

She hastened to add that a man would not cheat on you when he loves you and once he starts showing signs of cheating and even start the cheating proper, then you should question that relationship.

She revealed that she wanted to be an actress while growing up, saying, “I wanted to be an actress while growing up, but the music dream was just too strong to ignore, but I still harbour that ambition.”

Talking about how being a dancehall artiste has shaped her life, she said, “dancehall has made me stronger, confident and the criticisms have made me to be careful to engage myself in certain stuff.”

Kaakie is known for hit songs like Too much, Toffee Pon Tongue, Zuuchia, Ronaldo, Ewoo, DC Turn up, among other hit songs.
