Meet the midwife who delivered baby on bus - Kate Asante

Gospel artiste Kate Asante, who is also a midwife, is yet to be celebrated for helping a woman in labour to deliver her baby safely while on board a commercial bus.

The gospel artiste cum midwife this writer gathered was a passenger on Nkawkaw bound bus.

About 45 minutes after the bus took off from Accra, she got wind that a co-passenger who was pregnant went into labour.

The midwife with the help of some of the passengers on board assisted the passenger who safely delivered a bouncing baby after the driver of the bus stopped the moving bus for about 30 minutes to allow the passenger to deliver the newly baby.

After a successful delivery, the young and brave midwife handed the new mum and her newly born to a nearby hospital for proper medical care.

After the entire passenger on board praised the midwife for coming to the aid of the passenger saying that the country more of such midwife in the country.
